He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Accounting from Manuel L. Quezon University in March 1981 and passed the October 1982 CPA board exams.
He joined Carlos J. Valdes & Co., CPAs in January 1982 as a Junior Auditor where he gained extensive experience in various businesses and industries such as (a) banking (b) financing (c) insurance (d) utilities (e) manufacturing (g) hotels and (i) schools. He later became a Bank Examiner in 1984 at the then Central Bank of the Philippines.
Prior to joining Camara, Custodio & Co., CPAs, he headed the Internal Audit function of several retail firms and banks and subsequently headed their operations.
He is active in church activities for the past twelve (12) years and currently is the Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council of the La Purisima Concepcion Parish in Santa Maria, Bulacan since 2012.
